Private Dinner with Fashion Critic Robin Givhan

It was a blessing and an honor to be able to eat dinner with the amazing Robin Givhan. Ms.Givhan is a Pulitzer Prize award winning fashion critic, who has worked with Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Anna Wintour and many big names in the fashion industry. Givhan is currently a Staff Writer for the Washington Post and a published author. The dialogue was nothing less than amazing and dinner was so delicious! Who doesn't want to eat savory salmon while talking about fashion :)

Our Founder & President, Fennella Like Whoa, thanked the lovely Robin Givhan on behalf of our organization for the exemplary road that she has paved for women of color in the fashion industry.

Pictured above is our lovely Executive Board of Echelon Twelve and our amazing members. We were so eager to take a group photo with our role model and new honorary Spelman sister.

Overall the night was filled with timeless memories! Thank you to the wonderful Ms.Givhan for the rich wisdom you gave to us about the fashion industry. We are now ready to conquer the world of fashion! Thank you Spelman College for the continuous milestones towards excellence and especially for allowing Echelon Twelve to be apart.

First Market Friday

The first Market Friday is always special for several reasons including strolling, free food, and music. However, this year was especially important for Echelon Twelve because it gave us a platform to promote our first event and reach out to our potential members. Even with the sun blazing, we got information out to the campus and interacted with several people. We got the chance to expand Echelon Twelves’ membership and even take a couple of bomb pictures.

AUC Street Style

Street Style is a section designed to highlight the unique style of students in the AUC. People featured here are not afraid of colors, patterns, fabrics, or combining either. This is the place where boldness, eccentricity, and risk-taking merge.
